Curious. Is having heated + fabric seats usually an option for 2020?

I just purchased my 2020 yesterday and was curious about something. I was looking through the Toyota builder and simply googling as well and it seems like heated seats are usually an option for leather trim seats but not the fabric seats. I did see one or two for sale online that have heated + fabric but that's about it. I was wondering what's up with that since my does in fact have heated + fabric.

 

Mine also has the package with heated fabric seats, auto climate control, etc. I went with this to avoid having a sunroof. I needed the extra headroom. It does seem the trucks equipped with heated fabric seats are less common.

As far as I know, heated cloth seats are part of the “premium audio with navigation” package. Confusing since it sounds similar to premium. As always, the salesman had no idea what I was talking about and told me it wasn’t available.

 

New option for 2020s so that's why they are only starting to pop up now. They come with the "slightly less premium" package as others said, for those that want the climate control without sunroof and leather.

I have them in my truck. Heated seats are standard in all Canadian Tacomas. They do work well.

 

I have the heated fabric seats, heated mirrors and auto climate control in my Taco. I don't use the heated seats often (I live in So.Cal.) but have used them when I've been in the snow and I like them, they seem to work well. My Taco is the only vehicle I own with heated seats so I sometimes forget I have them.

 

They are awesome in humble opinion, one of my favorite features in my truck.

 

After almost a year I really like the heated cloth combo. They heat up quickly and they don't get cold/hot in the weather like leather does.

The only downside is fabric collects dust a little bit if you offroad. Stains have cleaned fairly easily if you get them immediately.

Really happy with how quickly they heat up when it's cold.

 

I don't believe heated seats were an option on US Tacoma's in anything but TRD trim levels and up. If found that an option on SR5 I would have wanted it.
