I feel like that's decent miles since first time on the bike was August 21st, I want to do 20 miles a week if possible.

I’m thinking I might not make this trip now boys.

riding out hurricane sally in hopes for a decent day Thursday and we might end up getting flooded in down here and have a little issue getting home Friday. Not sure just yet.

    Tentative Itenerary:
    • Friday PM: Pedal from Brown Bike Farm with destination Baker Creek. This is about a ten mile singletrack ride ending with epic jump lines and pump tracks galore. Always a fan favorite. And even better, I live two blocks away! So after we ride Baker Creek until sunset I can grab my truck and shuttle us to the breweries/campsite.
    • Saturday AM: Urban Wilderness exploring (@paleh0rse any recommendations as a recent first timer out here?). How did you like Year Round Get Down / Marie Myers?
    • Saturday PM: Pending @Bannerman Windrock DH/XC until sunset?
    • Sunday AM: Sharps Ridge morning sessions

I'll have a firm answer soon, I found a kayak I want to buy in Kentucky and the guy said he would meet me, Knoxville just happens to be halfway. So if this deal works out, I will leave Charlotte Saturday early, meet the dude with the Yak hopefully before noon and meet up with you guys after that. @GrundleJuice what's the camping situation, room for one more truck?

Super cool. I have been eyeballing a fishing yak, too. The stability is outstanding. Currently fishing from a canoe which is the opposite

Also if it would help at all I can meet up and make the deal for you and keep the boat at my house - if it helps the timing at all

I don't know much about orion, but I've had a RTIC 45 for a couple year now and it's been bullet proof. I literally ran it over with the truck one time and it just smashed down into the sand, no damage done.

    Cool.

Yeah this one is a 2020 Hobie Outback, picking it up for 2500 which included fish finder and a bunch of accessories. Pretty excited.

I'll have a repair stand and the typical bike tools, plus Shimano stuff, CK BB cup tool. If you think you might need anything else, bring that, otherwise feel free to use anything of mine. I suppose Alex will have tools locally, too.

Heck yeah, I'd be stoked! I'll have my beater spin rod and travel bass/pike stuff if you can't wait to try it out and need to sneak away for a couple hours. That stuff stays in my truck for the most part

I'm just looking forward to getting back into fishing in general. I used to fish a TON as a kid all the way into my mid 20s, but when we moved to Charlotte I just didnt really have as much of a chance, plus MTB really ramped up as my main hobby. But I'll be on the lake soon so I'm excited to wet a line again.

I could be convinced. Bass on the French Broad River or white bass on the Holston. Both are an easy bike ride away if we want to get out there Saturday/Sunday morning or something
