This is not a serious request, but someone who speaks American and understands drivability, it would be nice if you rewrite whatever code/logic that cruise control uses to function ‘normal’. I remember driving years ago using cruise control often on highways and never experienced what the Tacoma does on highway driving. The second gen I had sucked as well and was bone stock. For some reason it always seemed to drop two gears instantly and would hold that gear for a long time after cresting a hill and then going on a flat or even downhill. So I’ve not used cruise control since 2015!

we have a patch planned for cruise control that simplifies everything and will be in vF Tuner. But stock functions will be released first

    New throttle limiter tables..
Will this be related to the Air Load tables you showed us how to tweak, or something else?
Also, can anything to do with Rev Hang or DFCO (1st gear) be squeezed into this update?

There's another layer to this throttle limiting fuckery? Holy shit I thought I was doing good with modding the air load tables.. that alone made a difference!

Thanks a bunch Mat, waiting 5 minutes for the revs to drop is bs lol

If we can just get the fuel to come back on around 800-900 during full lift like it does in 2nd.. oh boy. Gimme

Might the adaptive cruise control following distances be buried in there somewhere?

Last couple of days I was comparing 2 files - one with changes to throttle for normal gears, other with changes to 3D airload (3 tables) only. Bumped to 25% and smoothed out those 2 tables.
Both drove nicely, but changes to airload tables have +/-.
    "- "
on low rpms and 40 mph roads, the truck goes to 5th/TC locked and creates a slight TC shudder effect
    "+"
-the tranny smoothly downshifs under a slight pressure on the accelerator, behaves like "normal" AT.
-Mpg went up by a few decimals.
-throttle responsiveness through all gear and engine loads.
But for now I'm going back to play with D2 tables until I get more knowledge on airload tables.

Mat said he is looking into it for us.

On M/T, it's already been altered above 1st gear.

    Don't know about slushbox.

Sounds like you can adjust the 5th gear shift and TC tables and eliminate your negative?

@OVTune I was wondering if you'd be able to give me a real brief overview of how the intake timing tables work? From research I know that we have the VVTI-iW on the intake cams which I believe gives us up to 80 degrees of advance on the intake valves. However it looks like its limited to 60 in the tables. I was also curious how the tables work. It looks like at idle and coasting with foot off the pedal the intake advance is 30 degrees which is also not reflected in the intake tables I have.
