So I'm considering trading in the Taco for a full size truck...a tundra or f150.

CarMax is offering 32K....even with "frame damage". Anybody care to guess what the frame damage is? Haha...it's the cab mount chop.

These prices are crazy... I paid 33k out the door (tax, title, license included) for a 2018 double cab long bed trd offroad. After driving for 2 years I could sell it for more than I paid.

Granted if I wanted to get into a 2021 Im looking at 43k plus fees for the same optioned truck.

    I paid $38.5K for mine in 2016, but it was a 2017.

I love my truck but my growing 14yo son is a double amputee and can barely sit up front with his prosthetics.

I just sold a '19 F150 to Carvana. They paid me $4000 more than my payoff, with $1000 of that being over what I paid for the truck in December '19. Insane

I just traded my 2017 TRDOR and got $30k and I thought that was a good deal.

    Like, so many.
Just curious, did you put in a fill plate and paint the CMC? I think mine would be really hard to spot.

No. Never did. It would have been hard to tell for sure. But then again those Carmax buyers know their stuff.

Traded in at Carmax. Got what I paid for it, 36k for my 2019 TRD OR.

Surprised that's not something that keeps them from wanting it, that's a heck of an offer regardless

The lack of brand new truck inventory is driving up used truck prices. Used Tacoma’s have amazing resale value right now.

33K for a DCLB OTD is freaking low! How'd you score that deal?

Could you take a pic of your cmc to show us? Weird how they would notice that.

Small dealer that does mostly online only sales. No overhead for them mean cheap price for me.

Jeez I guess! I was $32,500 before TTL and thought I did well. I did get them to bump up my trade-in 06 4Runner, but your pretax must have been in the high 20k range?! You sure about that?

That's crazy, I searched up and down the Seattle area and could not find a DCLB OR for under 35k before tax.

I also had to drive over 1000 miles for my truck. My dad happens to be a retired pilot, so he gets free flights anywhere. That allowed me to expand my search nation wide. Though doing all the paper work via mail was a pain in the ass.

Usually paying cash works against you for getting the lowest price. Shouldn't mention paying cash until you agree to your price. They make money on the financing ;). Maybe you could have got it for low 20s if you told them you’d finance through them and take any rate they could get you lol.
