I'm so confused, intrigued, and horrified, all at the same time.

Why oh why? Wally world special bull bar or cargo carrier? Camera person platform?

Also got the new clock spring in today. Took maybe 25 min. Probably could do it in 10 or 15 if you where the clock it’s a pretty simple R&R. I never really get good pictures of projects once I start working on stuff I tend to forget about the phone and camera.EF195532-B42C-4264-A396-7CF8D2E11A4D.jpg

This was myself that responded and I was operating on the incorrect information that day. I wholly stand behind that. The transmission skid plate will be too short moving from the 6 cylinder to the 4 cylinder. There is a cross member that is relocated between models. The cross members on the 4 cylinder is spaced further apart than on the 6 cylinder. This also translates to the 3rd Generation Tacoma as well. The 6 cylinder skid plate would indeed need to be extended for function with a 4 cylinder.

Currently, custom work is not something we are exploring. Sorry to disappoint!

Thank you for clearing that up.
It's what I've been reading and now it's confirmed.
Any chance in RCI releasing an adapter/extension plate for us 4 cylinder owners? I understand that we are the minority.

I've seen people bridge the gap with spacers and also by welding an extension to the skid plate. I'd much rather have something bolt on.

Do you have the dimensions of bolt hole to bolt hole of trans skid?

Are you referring to the holes width-wise across the skid or length-wise across the skid?

Length. Wise. You said crossmember was further apart on v6 version so I wanted to measure mine.
