I’ve been hearing some rattling come from my catalytic converter heat shield and today I decided to hit it and these little pieces of burnt metal came out of it. I was wondering what this is and if it is going to be an issue.
    Thank you.

Okay, so it’s not the converter itself?

Only way to find out is to take the heat shield off. Luckily my heat shield deleted itself after 150k so it's easier to inspect...

Did the rattling stop? If so, problem solved!
