Refill at the truck when you come back down. Just pack a few bottles in a small cooler. I’m sure your bike has the two bolts to get a bottle cage.

nope, the Capra does not have anywhere for a water bottle. Check out the frame design. It looks sweet, but no bolts.

I’m going to grab the source hydration hipster ultra sometime in the near future. They make the best bladders on the market and they never get funky. I have owned camelback, platypus, and osprey bladders and they suck in comparison. It’s a bold statement, I know, but you will not be disappointed. https://m.vitalmtb.com/news/press-r...pdates-Hipster-Ultra-Hydration-Waistpack,3750

Very nice! I snagged this on eBay for $50 and it is great. I leave the bladder with a little space and just fill my Camelback bottle and leave it in my cage.

    Best shoes ever!

Get a hip pack. Prehydrate a bit before you ride. Drink a liter on the way, pack 1.5L, that’s more than enough (for me) unless you’re out in the heat for 3+ hours.

Man they better be good, these are first MTB shoes for me. I’m excited to quit tearing up regular shoes while riding and have some stick as well as support. This is the most I’ve ever paid for “shoes” not counting work boots and alpinstar tech 10s. The last 4 pair of my shoes have been name brands discounted at Costco. Lol

Also I cancelled the USWE stuff and went for the fastlap 5L I was recommended that has a 2L bladder.

This is the fanny I have. Love it. I've done 30+ mile epics (like WE) with just this fanny. Jacket, snacks, and water go in the fanny. Tools and spares go on the bike.

Edit: Big fan of the bladder too. I've had it over two years with no leaking or funk.

Every single fanny pack I've seen is limited to 1.5L, including my Osprey Seral. However, I keep seeing people in this thread say that they're using 2.0 bladders.

What 2.0L bladder(s) are you guys stuffing into all of your fanny packs?

You guys are talking about a lot of water on a ride. Hydration is an all-day event and doing so would likely reduce your water consumption on rides

I use this in my Osprey, fits fine. Looks like they have a 3l version too.
100% even on days when I don’t ride I notice when I’m not hydrating enough. On really hot days it’s still a challenge but on most of my mountain bike rides (about 2hrs) I’ll drink a liter maybe. If it’s around an hour I’ll probably drink a 24oz bottle which is pretty standard water consumption for me off the bike.
