See, the first part of you answer has me going "Cool!" and the second part has me going "wait, is it a trick?"

lol. im pretty sure ive seen posts of people doing red cone stock. theyre just really good drivers, i wouldnt trust myself there. the rocks seem pretty big so sliders would be helpful if you make a mistake. these stock OR are super capable. i personally wouldnt take my stock OR there, but i also have 0 off road experience

@RobotCaleb Don't listen to this guy for the reason in bold text. A stock OR would make it but there's a very high probability of damage (rockers and rear bedsides) in only a few spots over the whole trail. Red Cone is a regular (nearly annual) trail for me over the past 14 years.

Thanks! I'm trying to ease into this. I went to Little Goose Campground in Wyoming, that was awesome. It's about the most technical I've gotten, and I'm not quite sure I'm ready to start doing damage yet. It still has that new truck smell.

the pics that are posted of Red Cone are the reward, not the challenge. The lower portion of the trail, which is never photographed, has the actual challenges.

I agree with @JDM and @Deathbysnusnu. The guardian rock on Redcone that was so meager three weeks ago is back to being a guardian again. All my armor, (rock sliders and skid plate, front and rear bumpers) are more experienced now after visiting Wheeler Lake.

Edit: -gatekeeper rock. Got my G words mixed up.

Here's a decent glimpse of Red Cone from earlier this year, and note the stacked rocks practically forming a road on the guardian obstacle. Jump to 6:27 for the start of the guardian. https://youtu.be/goPuC73EUug

The gatekeeper definitely changed from three weeks ago. Of course, my tires shrunk 2” in that same 3 weeks too.

3 weeks ago when I ran it the Gatekeeper was running up the score against 4Runners, Ripped up Valve Stems, etc. Who ever says this can be run bone stock should be banned for life from this forum, not joking.
