It seems Toyota has a pattern of frequent change when it comes to the front end in Tacomas, do you think it’s time for a face lift?

I personally still can’t get used to the grille on the third gen. I do like the headlights though. For me, 1995-1997 had the best front design.

    Except you're wrong

95.5 to 97 had the best looking front end

98-00 was the malaise years front end

01-04 was the runner up front end

Meh. I like em all. They all have their own perks n quirks. I love the third. I think a few proportions may be a bit whonky, but overall I fuck with the 3rd gen heavy. I mean c'mon!

I like the red color accents on your truck.

I just think if you took off the bottom half of the grille on the 3rd gen it would look better.

IMO the 2020 SR grille is the best looking.

I've done a mod or two
Yes and no, they changed the design, but they've been doing that between trim levels forever, the structure is the same though, the sizes are the same. There has been no facelift on the 3rd gen, just masks.

I'm With you, I love the way my first gen looks. Last year I intentionally got a 2015 because I can't stand the way the third gen looks..

    Just my opinion
Still have my '95 wont get rid of it for sure

The 3rd gen front end is not that attractive and adding aftermarket bumper makes it look even worse. It's like a nose ring in a big beak.

The grill is simply too damn big and too flush with the front bumper. IMO the 12-15 Tacoma had the best looking front end

It's all about personal preference. Prior to buying my Taco I looked hard at new 4Runners but I just couldn't get past their (IMO) ugly front ends. They just look un-finished and angry to me. I actually like how the Third Gen Tacos look compared to the previous years, plus I think the 3rd Gens have the best interior but they all have their quirks.

I like the styling of the bed, the sides, and the headlights, even the front bumper, I just cannot get past the grille.

something about the 2020 SR/SR5/LIMITED front grill in black got me liking the front end more than the PRO

If they decide to facelift the Taco than that means we wont get a new redesign till after 2025. Could be a possibility since they spent money on moving the 3rd gen to Mexico but also a facelift doesn't make sense with the 2020 LED headlights unless they trying to slowly throw upgrades to milk that green nasty cash out from our pockets
