2020 Access Cab TRD OR with a Leer 180 camper shell with windoors

 

Here it is with new shoes, BFG KO2 + 3% 265/70R17 C load and Canadian TRD Pro Style 17x8 +15 offset wheels in matt black from wheelsco.ca

Put away the Goodyear Wrangler 265/70R16 with OEM stock wheels.

Replaced the spare with same 17" TRD style wheel and KO2 tire with TPMS.

Prepped the 5 wheels with CarPro Eraser and 2 coats of CarPro Cquartz Dlux.





Fills in nice with no lift. Also purchased 24 black mag lug nuts M12x1.5, 1.87" tall.





Purchased a set of TPMS sensors and programmed the ECU with my Atel TS-508 good to go.

That is an awesome looking truck. Looks good with a camper shell too. Cool to see another access cab. Was thinking I was the only one in here with one.
How hard was removing the TRD sticker? Did it leave allot of residue?

 

Thanks man! The AC voodoo blues are definitely unicorns.
Removing the decals was super easy. I just took a hair dryer and warmed them up, then slowly peeled them off. I maybe got the tiniest smidgen of residue at the very edge that i was able to very easily wipe off with a cloth and little bit of isopropyl alcohol. Definitely no need for anything aggressive.
I've seen videos of people doing it as easily as i did (newer trucks), and some that had residue they had to remove with some product (usually trucks that were several years old).
Since our trucks are new, it should come off quite easily.

How to change the body color of your truck for the overhead camera view to blue.

1) Turn ignition to ON (no need to start engine - keep foot off the brake)
2) Press and hold AUDIO button on head unit.
3) Switch headlight switch between AUTO and PARK lights 3 times.

This will enable a service mode menu screen on head unit. You can let go of the AUDIO button to select "Function Check/Setting" then "Camera Setting" then "Body Color Setting".

Your choices available are WHITE, BLACK, BEIGE, BLUE, GRAY, RED and GREEN.

Select "BLUE", the screen changes and displays the truck in blue, select "OK" to return to menu displaying "Body Color Setting" option. Select "BACK" to return to start of service menu then turn ignition off to exit from the service mode menu.

Lastly turn on ignition again and a confirmation message will be displayed after head unit initialization completes...

"Please select "OK" to complete the service mode and return to normal driving operation."

Select "OK".

You have changed the truck color to blue.

Looks like 2021 Tacoma's will have the Voodoo blue color available again as per the US and Canada Toyota websites.

 

I noticed on the Canadian site that the trd sport Tacoma shows a black front bumper valance like the off road model

 

Looks like only the 2020 LTD and new 2021 Nightshade version has the color matched front bumper in Canada.


Could it only be a website picture error?

Just picked her up yesterday... what an Anniversary present. Test drove it with 1 km on it and drove it off the lot with 25...

TRD Offroad Premium. They are scarce as heck up here in Atlantic Canada, I have seen one TRD pro that the owners brother owns.

Looks like you found that one in Amherst NS. I remember when mine looked like that from the lot 10,000 km ago.

 

Exactly where I got it. unloaded off the car hauler last Thursday, drove up Friday morning and test drove it and did up the sales agreement ... just after that someone else came in and wanted to buy it lol.
