So I’m glad to finally become a member here. I don’t have much to bring to the table yet but hopefully I’ll be active and learn tons from these forums. Here I am putting my new to me 2nd Gen to work hauling my DOA Element home

I actually considered a Element when I bought my Tacoma. Neat concept, and wish Honda still sold them! (But they went "all in" on the CRV.)

Not exactly sure how, but she died at 70mph on the freeway following a hole in the block... And lots of oil underneath and up the back lol

RIP, needs a new engine. Those Honda engines from 2002-2014 (CR-V, Element) are solid, so are their transmissions. Did you know the spare tire floor cover is table?

that's unfortunate. Took me years to find out it was a table. I was actually looking for an element to daily drive and use for work (mail carrier), but a co worker gifted me his CRV at no cost. If you're handy you can pull a motor at an LKQ, wrench a part, or pull a part and install it.

I miss my Element. Ive had 2. This was my 04 manual AWD. I painted it Anvil, lowered, Cragars and 4" bullet center caps. It was awesome

I came from a element to Tacoma as well. There is a local shop to me that does engine swaps on the Element. They put the Accord v6 in it. It helps it with towing capacity, power, and even increased the mpg. That little box had to fight it's way though the air with the 4 cylinder. I'd still have it if they made it with really 4wd. I love my tacoma though. An 85 toyota pickup was the first thing I ever drove and have always dreamed of owning one. I work for Honda. They make good vehicles but Toyota makes GREAT vehicles.

Yeah I wasn’t looking for another project. I’m currently building a 70 Volvo 145 wagon. And my baby, despite my new Tacoma is my late Pop’s ‘63 Volvo PVDE330C56-49C9-4EC2-A5B0-F965998FACD2.jpg6ED736A5-2BCF-4F18-BB8C-34B9F2C3C8C9.jpg
