Depends where you are mounting them and your budget, I suppose.

Get an upTop Alpha rack and start adding LP6 lights until you run out of room on the credit card!

LP’s aren’t meant for up top. Only instalanders do that for the likes and YouTubers for the views.

LOL - will be mounting in A Pillar position and moving the Driving combo down to the bumper. Budget - skies the limit :). Kidding, budget is a concern and a realize I'll be paying about $100 more for racers than something like an OnX6+ bar that would probably reach the same and give more mid and side light - but for my application size matters. I am willing to make the trade off of a little extra expense to keep the setup unobstructive, streamlined and a little more concealed (A Pillars aside :).

Another option I suppose is the XL-80's - but I think they will just be too large in the A Pillar position. Hoping to get simplar reach with the Squadron (racers) though I'd imagine less light on the mid range and periphery. That said, I feel like (and hope) the Squadron Pros with the driving combo will take care of that. I'll also have the Squadron SAE fogs, but I suspect I'll just be using those on gnarly weather. I can't imagine they would be of much value with the Driving Combo and a second set of racers (or spot) on, but I guess time will tell.

Squadron SAE’s suck, seriously. Not knocking BD, but the DD Pro’s blow them out of the water if you want an SAE fog light.

XL’s would be a good choice but I have yet to find a ditch bracket for mine that holds them solid. The vibrate like crazy going down the road at any speed.

have you tried swapping a set of spot lenses on your squadron pros to see if they fit your needs?

if you are running the stock front bumper I’d go with DD Pro fog lights and squadron pros with spot lenses on the a pillars.

That;s what I worry about with the XL's and ruled them out. Plus they just look too big on the A Pillar (IMO).

I have not tried swapping the lens. That is a though though. Get the lens and put it on what I have now and if it doesn't get the reach I want then I know I need the Racer model. I don't think you can swap the racer back to just a spot though. I'm not entirely sure what the difference is between the racer and the Pro (Squadron). It more than just the lens though because almost all of the specs are different.

    Nice truck!

I'm trying to stay with the smaller light style (Squadron) and I think Lasers are too specific (and probably more expensive) than what I'm looking for.

Although the lens can be swapped on the XL Racer Edition, it is NOT recommended. It has a dome-less LED that provides a tighter pencil beam. That light is designated only for distance which results in the spot lens only option.

BD Dealers should definitely consider putting that type of information on their website...

Oh FFS. It wasn't a racer vs spot comparison, but rather a SS3 Pro Spot vs XL Racer. There is a SS3 Pro Spot vs Squad Pro spot comparison as well so you could technically get there, but you'd have to consume a couple of videos.

Double sidebar. Unfortunately not. I am still waiting on that shipment to get to me from DD. They got behind again. Imma try to get a partial order sent to me though as I believe that their small restock that came in on Monday included yours.
