Is that what you buy when you don't want the pentastar but can't afford a cool model?

I actually dont do ladder tests. These guns shoot minute of battle rifle, so Im not going to great lengths trying to squeeze another 1/8" tighter grouping out of it.

Ill load up 4-5 groups of ammo in .5 gr increments and shoot 5 shot groups at different targets with the rifles rear sight set on whatever range Im shooting at. Whatever gives the tightest groups at my point of aim (elevation is what Im worried about) is what load I go with. Usually the rear sight on these milsurps is graduated in 100 yard/meter increments, and usually if its shooting point of aim at the 1 or 2 hundred yard mark, it will be on at further distances. This means the ammo is at or pretty close to the velocity of the ammo the gun was designed for.

That's going on the 2.5 gen when I get it.
I may source another fiberglass shell before selling the 1st gen or just leave it topless.

I'd just leave it topless unless you can get those mini shells for super cheap. I don't think they add much value

Yeah, I'd have to find a steal to bother putting another shell back on this before selling. I figure with 40k on the full engine rebuild and 50k on the trans rebuild (w/ new torque convertor) it should pull a nice pile of cash in the current market.

We have been talking about the stopcams, they seem great if you're willing to get your alignment with normal cams in and then take it apart piece by piece to change it for those yourself.

Yea I wondering how you’d figure out the alignment, still don’t understand what you’re saying though haha

I'm saying it would be hellishly hard to align the truck with those in place, it's actually not possible. You'd have to have your stock cams in to get the alignment, then afterward swap them out one by one for these to maintain the alignment.
