Anyone ever have a battery that indicates 12.8V on the meter be a "bad" battery? My Multistrada turned into a paperweight since I rode it last. Nothing powers on, won't even offer PIN mode. I've got a new replacement battery on order, but it won't be here until Saturday. I think the stupid "hands free unit" has gone tits up. The OEM battery was dead, from being in storage too long, when I got it in March. A full charge and 6k miles on it since, with no issues. So I'm hoping it is the battery, cuz if it is the HFU, then I'm in a pickle, because the nearest dealer is 7 hours away and it will require reprogramming the transponder keys. That and it will be a $1k repair job. Nothing more aggravating than getting all geared up, ready to smile for the next 200 miles and your bike won't start.

Yeah I've had that happen. Measure the voltage while trying to start the engine, see how much it drops.

I can't get the bike to turn on at all. So I can't load test it. I guess I'm stuck waiting till the new battery is delivered on Saturday to see if that fixes things. I think even if the battery was near death, the dash and running lights would still light up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Kriega US-5 waterproof bag mounted on their tank adapter

Thinking about ordering some new bars next month. And some half waffle grips to go with them.

And the ride with @FreshOldTaco puts my mileage around 1300 now. Not bad for a month and a half of ownership

Nothing wrong with dumping it on it's side for maintenance. That's how I did my clutch and stator on the F800, keeps you from having to drain the oil haha

Got sick of work around 2:30 and decided to get my license plate on the little bike finally attached. Some flat aluminum bar, a few rivets, couple rivnuts, and some plasti-derp later and she's on. Good bye zip tied plate.
