Plus I have a bunch of DT connectors so I can make weather proof seals and still have them detachable.

Of course, if anyone needs help with some wiring stuff, I'd be happy to help. The hard part is figuring out time, lol. As witnessed by @Unchained 5150 and @NoFear9491

Yeah, except the wiring job on my own truck is junk, lol. Loose wires and bundles just hanging out everywhere. I need to find time to shorten all the wires and make it super tidy.

I started with Weatherpack connectors but have started using to AT/DT style connectors instead, they're a lot more compact. I have a whole bunch of stuff on my truck I want to redo now.

If you want me to work on that, get me a list of what you have wired up, what is going where on the truck, and how many wires are going to each location. From there we can determine what DT connectors you can/want to use. I have some 2-pin sets laying around still, if that's all you need. Although I only have a few of each size connector for the wires.

I’ll be asking you some questions once I get off my ass and start installing my busman (still sitting in the box from about 2 years ago). When I do it, I want to prep the wires and inside the truck for future, so I don’t have to keep running wires into the cab, but I think that is a wild dream.

That actually can be done. What we can do is run a bunch of wires into the cab, and have them terminate with the cavity plugs so you can just wire up new connectors, snap it in place, and boom, good to go.
Edit: I did something similar, but instead of in the cab, I just made the terminal connectors near the bussmann box, in case I wanted to run wires to the roof.

Guess it’s time to start thinking this out, I’ll send you a dm once I have a better idea.

Exactly how I did mine, all the power from the Bussmann terminates in the engine bay and I ran wiring for additional switches into the cab where it all terminates in a molex plug. If I want to add a new accessory, I just need to wire the switch with a couple of additional pins in the molex, and send the wires for the accessory to the engine bay.

The bundle that runs to the left is the trigger wires for the switched/relay circuits, it has a WeatherPack connector on the engine side of the firewall and the bundle that passes through the firewall has a mate for this and a Molex on the interior. The 2-pole WeatherPacks are for all the accessories.

Hmm, looking back, I probably should have done that too... I ended up making everything into a pos/neg connector, even the switches...
