I didn't know that was a thing, I'll need to look for that. Sounds fun.

    It's a fun read.

@memario1214 I don't have it bookmarked and am sure you do. Any chance you can save us dealing with the search feature on the site and link it? Yeah, I'm being lazy but I answer way more questions on the site then ask for favors. lol

We probably "could". Since it is a locked thread and all... But I doubt that we will.

Yep. It's a fine line in this thread. It's all relevant to markets but it's also easy to fall into the my side is better then your side argument.

    Yup.

"President did a thing about oil and oil markets will reflect it" is a lot different than "I don't like the president"

And even in truck threads. "Tacomas are expensive because of the chicken tax" (Which is political) is a lot different than "I don't like the president because they did a chicken tax" type of thing.

But hey, so many people post pictures of their trucks but have [Political Candidate] bumper stickers, flags, etc. involved. Really comes down to "Do I think I have to say this is not political...." I even said it a few days ago when I talked about TikTok potentially having copyright issues - they might have ripped some code from Snapchat or something, and can't sell the code to a US buyer without coming into a lot of issues for ripping that code. But because they're a Chinese company, that becomes political, potentially.

    :goingcrazy:

Hey @TreeFortRichard how are you doing with ZOM? I'm doing terrible. -20%. Otherwise I unfortunately bought high on most of my stuff. SPHD is green but everything else is overall red. Exit points set, but might take a while. I'm almost net zero on XME. Otherwise, everything is red 2-3% or more. And then ZOM red 20%.

    And yet, I didn't buy fedex. o_O

One last thing, I have also been banned from talking politics with my family, and even my girlfriend. I guess I can still try with my dog, he probably doesn't want to hear it either but just can't object.

I haven’t seen anyone in on nvax, but anyone know why it’s up the last couple days or are all the vaccine stocks bouncing back ? I picked some up last week, trying to figure a good selling point.

Regretting selling a Oct16 $50 covered call last week. Trying to figure out if the roll out/up thing would be worth it

It's not worth it that far out. Wait until it's within 2 days of expiry. If you still need to roll out and up do it then. If you go another month out you should be able to go up quite a bit and still break even for the roll.

It happens. Rolling is an option. If it's a stock I'm very bullish on (NVDA) I also always keep 2 calls for the same expiry I wrote the covered at. I keep them at a lower strike + premium then the covered strike. That way I loose the covered calls but exercise calls at a lower price. You make money on both trades. As long as the stock goes up you win.
