It was posted in this thread, I believe?

It was probably the last time that OVT mentioned 04B14?

    Cool!

No different than normal driving. I really doubt that it would grenade for a very long time.

??? a little help to a dumb question. When you update to the newer version of VFTuner Software do you "un-install the app" or simply download over the existing? Anyone? TIA

Has there been any feedback on this?
I'm adding the AGM tweaks to it now, then i'll flash it.
Maybe it'll fix my throw out bearing so i don't have to drop my transmission this weekend. Can you tell i'm salty?

Also - i'm currently running b14 2.0 sfob 93 prem. Will this 2.0 test tune include sfop and the high octane? i need ALL OF IT :)

In this thread, back in May it was just overwrite, then in June it was you must uninstall - as found by searching "uninstall" from OVTune posts. It likely depends on "what" is being updated as to the required process, but I would certainly expect that a full uninstall would always work. It just might be overkill in "some instances we do not really know".

Thanks! trying to get it loaded for a friend and thinking it may be best to simply wait for the new version and go from there. Install steps 1-3 done but not #4 - I think that is the problem.

@OVTune - any thoughts on the developer adding in support for in-app version checking to pull the releases as they post. Most of my work software does that and even lists the release notes link. Very handy to alert the users of a new update and get it in everyones hands so you don't get bombarded with tickets for things in the app that are fix/enhanced over time.

After making the alternator charging changes is there a way to see what the alternator is charging via OVT data logger in real time?

    Meh - Jynx!

But use a voltmeter to be safe. Read it at the battery

Yup I noticed that as well. It looks more pronounced than it is, it only dropped by about 2% but thinking about it again it shouldn't have done that anyway and just keep the throttle consistent. :annoyed:

Maybe I'm missing a setting I'm supposed to change. I used the .VFT file Ovtuning posted back in this thread somewhere to edit the 4b04 tune that a member posted a few pages back. Highest I'm seeing the control module voltage PID go is 14.1v.. Did I miss changing a setting somewhere besides the "alternator constant" map definitions section?

Yeah I opened the file for the most recent 2.0 a member posted a few pages back and also opened the alternator file OVTuning posted and compared the alternator constant files and made all the changes.

What was the final number for the "duty cycle" everybody decided on was best while running a Northstar AGM 27F?

Thinking maybe I pulled on older file that was updated multiple times. Lots of pages to search through

I used the settings from Post #737 Only I upped My ECT from 93 to 94. That gave me 14.5V at the battery using a volt meter. I also have a 24F battery not a 27F. Maybe start with with that and you can always bump up the ECT Value to increase voltage.
