Nice! I'm thinking of doing something similar once I have my topper. I think maybe I could get a couple of the "under bed" style bins to store stuff in there underneath the platform and out of sight and then throw other stuff on top as needed. Much less expensive and I'd imagine easier to yank out quickly when needing the full height than a Decked type system.

Is there a reason you didn't use the 2x6 slots already built into the box for support? Also, what carpet are you using and how are you attaching it?

Needed a little massaging, but it worked out.

When not in use, I'll just remove the skewers, and use them as anchoring points.(for lite duty of course)

This is one that my brother had purchased for me for my anniversary. It was an Ebay one and cost him $220 total with 3 year warranty. Build quality is good and everything went smoothly with the installation. A plus no clips broke (although I bought extra just in case). I can post the link if anyone is interested.

I agree 100%... we should have the extra driver side cubby too that the 16-18 get. I don't understand removing that.

    Yeah.

I removed my cubby to fit more switches lol. My phone didn't fit, wallet didn't really fit, after a year it was time to go but, I get what you mean.

Hey... where did you find this info? My Taco doesn't have the Bird's Eye view, but my wife's Land Cruiser does. Just wondering if the option works on the LC

I was fortunate to find someone selling a pro skid plate locally for $200 asd another 25 bucks for the red raised letters and ita $225 I'm happy with it. Oil change was a little less of a hassle.

After having a 2008 model for 13 years I got a 2020 model, same thing. 4Dr 4X4 OR. The newer model has 1/3 less center console capacity, the door bins are smaller and tighter, and my left side dash cubby hole is missing as well. We lost a wee bit of inside storage with the newer model.

Post link please. Does it mate to the fender in front with no gaps?
