Ok, it's actually pretty minor. I noticed some paint bubbles underneath the door seal in the door sill. It is right in the crease too so it's not easy to get to. I can only assume during its life some sand got in and scratched away just enough for it to start rusting. I already have some touch-up paint and will probably sand the area down before it gets worse. Does anyone have any advice on this? Unfortunately, it isn't covered under my extended warranty.

More specifically, I need to know if anyone has any experience with the door seal. Is it attached by clips or is there a certain glue I need? It'll have to be removed in order to get to this spot.

Photo added. Does anyone have any advice on doing this yourself? I probably won't have the dealership do it, depending on the quote they give me.

Pull off the weather strip. Clean the area with prepsol or alcohol. Sand it until its shiny metal. Spray a little primer. Spray several light coats of paint. Let it cure. Put it back together.

Isn't rust and corrosion a longer warranty?

Only if it rots a hole through. Always fine print in anything Toyota warranties.

Probably when it comes to the frame. If I run my VIN, there are 0 recalls listed for it. Not sure if this TSB would apply to my VIN or not, but in the wording it basically says I'm outside of the warranty period.

The weatherstrip comes off easy. Just pull. Lightly sand, then touch up with a few light coats. Push the weatherstrip back on. No big deal and no warranty would ever cover that.

What heavy duty floor brushes are they washing cars with? That's crazy. My bumper already became really good friends with a rock so that bridge has been crossed for me

I wonder if it has to do with the color. A lot of people with the super white color have issues and I can only imagine quicksand has some properties of super white in it. Purely speculation though.

Thanks. Up or out? I pulled off the plastic sill plate to see what I was working with and got more confused.
