Any chance of a future product line involving MOLLE plates for the cargo bed/sides?

 

YES. i have plans to get a sunroof molle for DB, a molle for dashboard, and then i will make molle racks for inside bed, as well as other mounts/hooks for bed. mostly GEN 3 to start.

 

I support this endeavor! What sort of mount are you referring to when you say dashboard MOLLE? Where would that go?

How much weight could I mount to the overhead rack?

 

so this mounts to the existing handle holes once removed ?

 

i havent actually attached weights to it, but as you can see in photos, i braided paracord handles and have done pull tests getting in and out of truck and just pulling, i weigh 175lbs, but that is not full body hanging from it. that is weight on one handle, so weight would even out among all 4 attachment points. im sure the rack will hold more than what anyone would mount to it. the edges are bent to 110* to provide very rigid rack across the span and it is made from 10 ga steel. I will add weights and perform tests to come up with an amount. what are you planning to mount to it? thanks.

 

yes. the hardware kit has square nylon inserts and replacement screws, washers, spacers. very easy install once handles are removed. all washers & spacers are black nylon and screws are stainless. this will eliminate any rattling.

 

also, all of the molle racks will continue with same pattern of rectangles, holes, & slots so they all match.

 

My thought is a rifle, spare magazines, and associated equipment, in quick detach arrangements. I imagine if you're lifting yourself in and out of the truck by it it is more than capable.

 

yes, for what you mentioned, im sure it will work just fine. However, i dont want to say it will hold my whole weight and then there be a failure with a customer, so i will come up with a good average, safe weight that i can list that it will definitely hold without issue and post it to item on website. btw, QUICKFIST connectors should mount great for a rifle. check this https://store.quickfist.com/

Yup, didn't you know? You can get rust on anything/everything, no matter what you painted with.

 

Well yeah you can, but I mean its inside the truck, are you expecting your seat frames to rust out too? or how about all that unpainted metal in your dash?
