Looks like 1/4 of your clip wanted to be free and went about it's merry way...

 

It's been sitting charged with nitrogen for 2+ months in Jim's garage. I finished the last one today, and was reinstalling the coils, when the last one, the first one rebuilt, came uncunted as I let the last turn of the compressor release all 700# of coil sprung weight free, it became 2 pieces again and voided it's bowels of nitrogen and oil at an exponential rate.

Luckily, I had it upside down, and instead of flying to the moon, it hit the ground faster than you can say bobsuruncle. I also made sure my feet where clear of the drop zone as I just about broke my toes on the first one when I was removing it from the compressor and it fell to the ground, glancing my shoe.

I just ordered a couple of replacements as well.

 

Anyone have an SWR I could borrow to tune my CB?

 

Ive got one of you're close to fall city some time.

 

I might be next weekend! Do you know roughly how long the process takes? Maybe we could do it on the spot if schedules align? Thanks!

 

At least i figured out where those mice were camping out

 

scary how much damage they can do.

 

It takes no more than 30min, unless you've got serious complications, but normally cleaning up the ground or shortening it solves 90% of swr issues. Picking an optimum antenna location is probably the other 9% and ~1% of randomness issues that cause high swr readings.

I think the ones that still came with the I6 4L are pretty rad, after that garbage, I agree

 

I’d buy a 4dr rubicon with a 4.0 I6 in a heartbeat

Yeah those Broncos are pretty sweet. I'd get one if I wasn't afraid of car payments.

 

Anyone know how the smoke is up around Fortune Creek and Van Epps? Looking for somewhere to go this weekend (if we can get away).
It appears the trails are open, however, it also looks like a storm is coming in.
Figured I'd go to Idaho, but I can't seem to find any good trails that way. Maybe I just don't know where to look.
