What are you doing up this way otherwise?

 

The BDR cuts into Montana at Darby and rides up to Lolo to take Lolo Pass back into Pierce ID. Had some bike failures halfway to pierce and ended up going back to Missoula to wait out parts being overnighted. Basically trip was over at that point due to time so now we are just picking a path home through MT. Amazing the difference in available dirt roads in ID compared to MT.

 

Ah gotcha.

Yeah alot more private property here. And also way taller mountains in general. So there are a lot of roads but they are all in and out type roads due to the mountains I've found.

Well if you're still traveling I'd recommend doing highway 78 to red Lodge and stopping for food at Wild flower Kitchen. Tell Benji your a friend of mine. It'll be the best food you can find in 500 miles

 

Sounds good, looks like we are headed south staying west of the park and riding down through Driggs/Jackson way. Had another bike issue so we are sorting that in Anaconda ATM. Stayed in Butte last night. Cool old buildings there.

 

Ah well you wont be on the right side of the mountains. But sometime you should stop there!

 

Drove over 100 miles of dirt this weekend exploring a new are close to home. Was nice. Killer views yesterday but smoke moved in super bad today.

Not a ton of camping but a lot of roads.

Very little snow. Even in the trees. Was admittedly very cold though at night.


Trucks doing great! Did have a casualty. A rear super bump ripped off the metal washer they are epoxied too. Easy fix. I had to re attach the front ones this spring as well.

 

thats where my truck lost a fuel pump at 1am last summer heading to glacier. Fucking anaconda mt

If those Bison cam bolts work with the Marlin Crawler LCA bracing (don't see why they wouldn't) I'm going to need to get those. Hopefully with both of those I won't want to resort to solid mounted lowers...

 

well you'll still want some adjustment in the upper be that the SPC arms or Heims i think as it is still basically solid mounting the lowers you just get more options than 2 or 3 most other kits use.

 

Should be pretty easy to draw them up in CAD and send em to be laser cut.

Fusion 360 is free. Just don't have access to everything but for a basic part like that it will do it.
