I'll try to produce those results with a multimeter, but I'm extremely limited in electronics. I don't even know how to set it up to test those, but I'll figure it out. Are you saying do a continuity check for open, then switch to ohm and check for 0?

Glad this weeks shit-show is over. Non-stop calls all week. Last night got a simple call and not as soon as we arrived before going up the platform we heard that "death bang." That was fun to put back together. Nothing like picking out broken plastic and bearings for 400 feet. I love my job, but nights like that is making me go gray-headed

In other news I managed to sell all the large woodworking tools as a package deal to my coworker. Didn't get as much as I wanted, but it's all gonna be gone. I might have been too cheap as my coworker instantly said "Deal!"

@6 gearT444E I pulled the switch.
Hard to see, but there was a drop of water at the end of the ball, and a little on the detent.
I suspect this corrosion is where the water came from? This is leading me to replace it regardless.

Multimeter set @20kohm reads 0 extended, 0 pressed in

Buzzer setting 0 extended, 0.05 when pushed in but buzzer sounds. That value may have been 0.1-0.25 as well. I was getting different results from different settings. I couldn't get a reading at 20kohm and believe that to be the setting I would need for 10k+.

Took 20 mins to get the plug off without breaking, then 5 mins for the whole job. Typical for me.
