Man the more reading and videos I see of this thing I get less impressed with it. It just looks and sounds, so slow compared to the older s/c. I was really looking forward to getting a new tacoma along with the s/c, but idk I'd say my setup now is way faster. Hell even the 4runner s/c is pretty fast.

I think the demographic that this kit apeals to, aren't willing to for over the extra 3k or whatever it is, in fueling upgrades to to really push this kit to peak performance.

I think that the demographic that this kit appeals to are looking for a packaged solution to reach peak performance that doesn’t require cobbling parts together with the hopes that it will work. Mine arrived yesterday.

What initially drew you to this kit?

 

Experience has taught me that no matter what cynicism, or negative bias opinion, there will always be those to exact balance against that. Then they will gather together, and share their knowledge. Perpetually pushing further, and pushing the aftermarket to create or be created.

Trust me. It will be so. The ever creative will never rest.

 

I like the concept of S/C because of my super charged 1989 Mercury Cougar. I love S/C’s. I know that I can fine tune the kit to make it what I want. Turbo’s Re sweet and I love them but I have no experience. I am also close to OV Tuning and am willing to pay Matt to help me tune a perfect system. I didn’t want to wait in limbo so I bought this kit.
I paid my money and here it is a week later ready for me to bolt on.

likely your tune will be locked. good news possibility is that it is based off of Mat's (Ovtune) 2.0 final. Hopefully they will get their shit together and provide a solution for gears too (4.88 and 5.29).

 

Fair enough! The tunes are locked though so so fine tuning isn't possible atm, but definitely a possibility in the future.

 

If you're good with VFT you can still write your own tune from scratch and then start throwing fuel upgrades and increasing the boost to meet ones own goals

 

Their tune is locked, but whats stopping someone from making their own with vftune or what ever its called? Someone who has the experience to tune could make a ton of money selling theirs for this kit.
