when you’re a dog person, it just means more. You obviously have the same bond with them that we do! I hope everyone gets that same experience because it is pulling me thru a tough year for sure!

Recall Riley received a diagnosis of diabetes back in June. Since then, it's been a bit of a roller coaster. He's been on three different different doses of insulin in addition to a weight loss diet. For the most part, things have been going well. On Monday, Riley had a seizure. It was relatively minor but scared the ever living shit out of me. His blood sugar was 34 on arrival at the emergency vet. Much lower and he might not be here today. The theory goes his insulin dose was too high for his weight. They fed him a can of food which makes him happy and raises his blood sugar. He eats his regular evening meal and we skip his evening dose (to recover his blood sugar levels). His glucose level improves and the following day, he's back on his lower dosage and doing well.

He needs to go to the vet but I'll leave that story for another day.

On the way down to the Atlanta Takeover event, we stopped at the Georgia Welcome Center on Interstate 85 southbound.

 

Vacationing in Utah with my fiancé and I got my first dog today. Her name is Stella. She’s 6 months old- lab and cattle dog mix. My fiancé grew up with 4 dogs so she’s in good hands. She’s enjoying the taco. Can’t wait to bring her back home to the Midwest.
