My girlfriend once came back after running some errand in my truck and said something like "Dudes are always looking at me when I'm driving your truck!" I stopped letting her drive it after that...

Do you know what model yet?

What were some of the deciding factors to choosing a 3rd gen?

Either a 2021 Sport or a 2020 Pro - I want leather seats and a sunroof and I like the skewp. I was actually at first looking at the 2nd gen as a guy in my office is a car nut and said try to look for a 2nd gen because I could drive it into the ground (I bought a new Jeep in 2018 and have had nothing but issues with it, had to get a new engine at 40k miles so I want something reliable).

I was originally going to get a 2017-2019 Sport/OR but the used prices are crazy, so I'm just going to save up an extra month or two and get something new. Looking at January/February purchase date and before I put an order in for a 2021 I'm going to see if there are any 2020 Pros in Army Green first.

If there are some 2020 Pros around for a similar price I will be! When I built the 2021 Sport I was at $46k on the site, so right around $50k is what I'll be looking for on the Pro.

Honestly, I've always felt like GM vehicles have the best initial quality and best rides.

Unfortunately that goes out the window after only a couple of years when you're constantly fixing little things.

I am new to Toyota- my last three pickups were Chevy, Chevy and Dodge.

After almost 5 years and 50k miles I am happy with my decision to get the Tacoma- a solid truck all around imo.

I think you are making a wise choice getting a new truck.

And yes, used car/ truck prices are pretty crazy these days. Wonder how long this will last.

Good luck with the hunting- I think my local NJ dealership has an army green pro, but it’s probably a little far to travel to get one.

    Edit: here is the listing

Honestly this kind of surprises me. I don't see a lot of women driving them around. I do, however, seem to notice a lot more women in 4Runners. But maybe that's just because my significant other has one as well.

There really are not that many women Tacoma owners as it was a poorly written article. It was saying of all the Male pickup Truck buyers out there 15% choose a Tacoma while all the Female pickup buyers out there 16% choose the Tacoma. But Male pickup truck buyers massively outnumber Female buyers so the majority of Tacoma owners are Male by a very large margin.

Wow, imagine that. An article in this day and age that is poorly written enough to cause the reader to be misinformed and draw an incorrect conclusion. Unbelievable.

AG Pros are a tough find at this point given the end of production for the 2020 MY is here. Not impossible but I'd guess most are already sold. No matter what color you end up with, I think you'll be happy with a Pro.

For me it's the color over the trim level. I've been in love with Toyota's Army Green since the FJ Cruiser. I almost bought one a few times but they are horrible to drive.

2021 in a Sport is probably your best option then unless you can luck out and find a 2020 Pro. And, even if you can find one you'll be paying at least MSRP given the current inventory issues. You can build a 2021 Sport the way you like it and get it in Army Green.

I fell in love with the color, too and was just fortunate that the timing of buying a new truck and having a friend who manages a dealership made it possible to get my AG Pro.
