That’s the plan. Might try to figure out a way to Jerry rig the camper onto the ford

Thanks! I might take you up on that. I’ll probably be rolling in around 1am Friday night and leaving early Sunday morning

Gotcha, I forgot you had a camper trailer and was just thinking of the RV. I’m going to see if I might be able to just drop the camper from the Tacoma inside the bed of the ford and strap it down. If that doesn’t work, I’ll probably come crash in your camper

That’s what we did when we ran it. Seriously one of the best days wheeling I’ve had. Making it up high dive backwards was sooooo sick!!

The man himself spotting me down. He went down without a spot and came pretty close to rolling over before throttling out.

Like most obstacles going up is less puckering than down.

This is the main reason we didn't run it backwards after Pritchett. We had done it the day before.

Just found this thread. I'd love to camp in Moab, and bring my mountain bike. I could at least bike to watch some awesome trucks crawling over rocks that would shred my stock Taco!

question to throw out there seems how this answer seems to be changing over the recent years.... what's everyone's favorite communication form?

    ham?
    gmrs?
    frs?
    cb?
    hand signals?
    poop throwing?

seems like the trend has been going away from cb and grms could end up taking over the cb for a cheap communication setup...

i just picked up a bca bc link for the backcountry, but that hits frs and gmrs frequencies which will be nice to have.. my mobile ham hits 2m and 70cm frequencies... still have my mobile cb setup too, but idk the last time i've used that!

I prefer to use ham, but have a CB in the truck too. Like you I can’t remember the last time I used it though!

BCA Brodeal? I need a BC link before this season starts but damn near $200 is tough to swallow on top of a new board/binding setup.

GMRS for the group on the trail.

Open to everyone without a test. No having to remember and say callsigns. No shitty AM modulation and low output power.

Mobile ham radios can usually be programmed to work with these bands, though not strictly legally.

Now having said that I'll probably be on https://www.gmra.org on the drive over to Moab if anyone else is driving out on Thursday afternoon.
