If the installation is anything like the URD fuel pump upgrade, then it requires dremeling two slits and a gear worm clamp is put in place to hold the pump. I’ve had my AEM stealth 320 installed like this for 5 years and still going strong.

Thank you!! I was thinking it all had to snap back together like stock. Wasn't even considering a hose clamp. So I went at it again. Hopefully anyone else doing a fuel pump can use this info.

Rmeoved the black oring and white plastic spacer off the stock pump-->transfered over to the new one
    [IMG]

locked into the assembly, the bottom plastic clip won't be used
    [IMG]

Hose clamp fit perfect around the pump and locked into the stock clip notches
    [IMG]

Rehook up the ground to the pump
    another angle
    [IMG]

Back together! Just need to figure out which wires to bridge..

Side note.. installed the new CSF radiator and electric fan...

THe new radiator is MUCH THICKER than stock. I am not sure where mats charge pipes run over from pass turbo to drivers turbo, but it definitely cuts down on real estate.. so keep that in mind

Only thing that I am critical of, despite that yours will work as is, is that you did not remove the internal filter, to replace with an external. Which technically could be installed at a soon but later date, if you didn't have an external filter on hand.

Good call. I really thought about that after browsing through the 2nd gen thread. Maybe I’ll buy another unit and make a new onewith without the internal filter and have it on standby..
I haven’t had any issues with the stock one so fingers crossed...

Why would you want to not use the filter for the pump? Or am I misunderstanding?

Also, some of you guys check your emails, some tracking numbers were sent, and you'll receive an email with info regarding that.

    Agreed
It clogs up prematurely and isn’t serviceable. I removed mine in my 2nd gen and used an external that is easily replaceable. upload_2020-9-16_19-55-3.jpg
    No prob!

Attaches to the factory quick-connect clip on one end and a hose clamp on the other.

Do you mean the teabag filter on the pickup side?

Simple misunderstanding. I wasn't sure how far along in his swap project that he was, thinking my responses may be somewhat time sensitive. To help prevent him from having to drop the tank again to remove the internal filter. Then again, wasn't sure if he had some form of submersible fuel line either. That was clearly for him to all weigh.

Should he had the line to attach the pump without the intank filter, he could have easily attached an external filter the next day or so. All dependent upon how far along he was and what materials he had.

Fuel filters are always a must.

For those that want to have a super easy external fuel filter upgrade (which is much more costly than the posted K&N filter above) there is a thread on (akin to an oil filter) setup available. Pretty sure that is way down the line though.

5 micron, all fuel compatibility though. Carry on!

"Teabag" is the pump sock, or pump filter. Not that one. Thank you for bringing that up.

@MESO , if you do have to go back in there, I recommend upgrading the "sock" to a Holly Hydramat sock. Look it up. You'll be very impressed.

ok good, I agree upgrading the teabag is a good thing, and IMO probably more important. But just wanted to clarify you weren’t recommending replacing that with external, as that would be a terrible idea (but I’ve seen worse on this forum).

Yeah I think the guys that upgraded pumps were ditching the thing around it(red X) and running a new line Directly to the top outlet. Keeping the sock for inlet filtration. (Then running an in-line outside the tank)
