    Hi all,

My new (to me) 2013 has some electrical...surprises. I've had a fun time getting everything working. I was trying to get my backup camera working, and in digging around behind the cabin fuse panel, I found the attached connector. It's clearly burnt, but it's sitting unplugged and I cannot figure out what it's supposed to be connected to. Any guesses?

it's for the optional flux capacitor.
so pretty much, if you're hitting 88 miles as is, you're not going to see some serious shit.

Thanks! You're a rockstar. Now to figure out where it connects to!

Not exactly. I bought it from someone who lived on the gulf coast. He'd broken the window motor on the driver door and just left it down for about 6 months.

Its so you can purchase an aftermarket trailer brake controller and use an adapter harness to install it... If you don’t have a trailer brake controller it shouldn’t be plugged in to anything lol

Well, that's easy enough! Mine has the factory towing package, so I'll be ignoring this. Thanks for the help, everyone!

That's part of the factory towing package, the rest of it is bolted to the frame in back. In order for your vehicle brakes to control the trailer brakes, you need to buy an aftermarket controller and mount it under the steering column somewhere your knees don't bash it. Plug that in to the pigtail you found and follow the controller's instructions. When you buy the controller, you'll need the adapter pigtail so they will match up, every vehicle brand has a different style pigtail on their harness.

Tekonsha makes the best ones, IMO
