Added some Yakima racks on my cab today. Easier to carry raft frames and SUPs! 20200916_191752.jpg 20200916_191740.jpg

Didn't want a prinsu or similar on the cab (at least not yet). I like being able to take the racks off easily when not needed.

Some friends have to evacuate because of the bear creek fire in Angeles Forest. So I helped evacuate their goats never thought that would be my day when I work up this am. Just for reference you can fit two goats in the back seat as well as the goats in the bed.00D32A50-001D-420E-952B-489F93745D71.jpg

The width definitely helps. When I'm solo, I sleep diagonally. Luckily, I'm only 5'9" and my wife is about 5'4". We've slept with the tailgate open usually, with some camping bins at the end of the platform to support the pad and our feet. But we can get pretty comfortable even with the tailgate and shell closed.
We have a Exped MegaMat Duo LW pad, which is pricey but extremely comfortable for camping. It fits in nicely.
We usually just sleep in our tent, because most of the time we are spending more than one night at the same location.

Totally makes sense, thanks for the explanation! Once I get my topper and finish up some other mods and projects, I'll have to play around and figure out a good system for myself back there.

Sometimes you guys just piss me off! I swore I wasn't going to buy these...and then I saw the posts this morning.....and I ordered both the hinge and the striker covers (plain black, though).

    Ugh.

Decided I wanted a Mountain Hatch. I know people are mixed on them. They def aren’t cheap. I got a discount on Labor Day weekend and decided to go for it.
so here is a pic and the video I made camping and then installing the hatch.

I’ve been eyeing them for a year it seems like. Just can’t find myself to fork out
    I though the same.

yeah... it was hard honestly. Because so far my mods have been cheap. Tires was the most expensive mod. This was still cheaper than that but def a chunk of cash. the color core with orange got me though. Also, that Labor Day code took off like $40-50... so it was like down to $215 before shipping and such. Still really pricey, but softened the blow. lol
After installing it I don’t have any regrets. I’m pretty stoked to use it now actually. My wife approved also so I’m in the clear.

I ordered Autel TPMS Sensor on Amazon and programed myself. They work perfect, never had an issue (knock on wood) but if you get a name brand not Chinese knock offs i think people would be fine
