Yep thanks. Been up to NH a few times this summer for wheeling and Sig Sauer training and know the ropes pretty well at this point.

Oh I'm from NH originally, I know a decent amount of the spots up there. I just never went camping in the white mountains, always further south or way up north, usually out in Maine though.

Kind of like when people ask you to recommend a good hotel in your town. No idea; I live here. Why would I be staying in the hotels?

I think of them as one of those :facepalm:moments. As soon as you answer most people realize that it was a stupid question.

I'll generally deadpan it and tell them that I can only really answer for the by-the-hour establishments.

Edit- and then the GF hits me.

I get those questions a lot when people are coming to stay at or near Boston. It's a legitimate question for staying in or around the city. If you just google, you could end up in a not-so-great area or spending $500/night. I tell them the areas to get them close to the city and not spend a fortune. If you live in a really rural area, it's a silly question but feel like it's not a bad question when coming to visit someone in or near a big city.

Yeah, things would probably be different if I lived somewhere more populous.

Should try a drywall square, they are 48" long and will fit flush against the other side of the panel.

Last sentence. In MA my friend can't run a closed show and stream it online because MA won't allow close contact sports, but pro football is okay.

About my reply and the same thing my wife would do

Haha I have never stayed in a hotel in my town. But I can tell you which ones are clean, and which ones you will find needles and drug paraphernalia tucked into a slit cut in the mattresses. Reading the yelp reviews are a good time for a couple of the places Seem like some good reviews could be made up.

Cape Cod has fallen so faaaaaaaar...there were places we stayed 10 years ago I wouldn't touch now...I'm an easy going hotel guest. I'll put up with noise. I just want clean towels and no hairs. We just stayed at Surfside Hotel in Ptown. It's EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Even with Covid19 special stuff...They gave you a trash bag each day that contains a full set of folded towels. You put the towels in your room and then put your dirty towels in the bag and put it in the hall. They didn't breakdown/make the beds. They stayed out of your room unless you had a specific issue. They normally have a great buffet breakfast (included) but cause covid instead they had nice breakfast grab bags. Adult bags and kids bags...AND it was pet friendly :) I also want fast enough wifi so I can hook the ROKU up to the hotel tv and stream...It met all my requirements.

I was always partial to using the inside of a washing machine. Holds up pretty nice, looks pretty decent, minimal effort in getting all the plastic bits off, and it's a free score from the dump.

The Marriott at Logan is pretty good if you're flying out. Bar downstairs which is much better than the regular Courtyard "Bistro" and free shuttle to the airport.

I always cross reference TripAdvisor with Google reviews and sort by most recent and have good success at finding what I want.
