Let it be shown, the ACC, Big12 and SEC conferences stepped UP and went to a 10 game conference schedule in a time of adversity, which is what fans have been begging for, for years now.

Pac12 and Big10 sat out. Pussy footed back in.....

Pac-12 isn't back, and I don't expect it back this year.

Correct. They sat out....and the Big10 is pussy footing back in. Probably because they are now realizing the losses of not having sports, specifically football which typically rakes in enough cash to fund other sports and aspects of the university. Athletes are probably starting to talk about transferring much more seriously and often, thus indicating to athletic departments and boards that future revenue streams may be affected. We also know WAY more about this virus, than we did when those conferences opted out of the season.

Greg Sankey, the SEC commissioner hit the nail on the head when he said that the SEC wasnt going to make any rash decisions until enough information was available that didnt change day-to-day.

The Big12 and ACC followed that guideline and now they are playing what amounts to damn near a full season, on time, with National Championship implications.

The Big-10 thought they were so important that if they decided not to play, every other P5 conference would follow their lead. They are absolutely clueless about how the SEC feels about football, which is they plan to play no matter what threat is out there. The ACC was probably on the fence, but since the majority of the schools are in the southeast, they were in...oh, and they invited ND to join for this season to fill out their dance card. The Big-12 has a huge footprint in Texas/Oklahoma, so you know they were going to play.

That left the Big-10 alone with just the Pac-12 sitting the season out. Also don't think the Big-10 expected fans, players, player family members & Nebraska to revolt, demanding to play. Toss in them watching ND play Duke last weekend...lol

Lets face it, they made a political decision to sit out, and it failed. Politics has no place in sports!

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Oregon has already last 1/3rd of our defense that was slated as top 5 this year to the draft... Opted out of the "Spring Season" that was proposed. I really hope they follow the Big 10 and get on with football in October and maybe give some leniency back to those athletes that declared.

Agree with this with an *... Nebraska did more than any other team to start and continue the fight to play even before the official cancellation came out. The media keeps pointing to OSU now as a savior, and they shit on Neb, but that has more to do with OSU actually being relevant... Which is a fair point.

The PAC will follow the B1G around like a lost puppy. They’re the ones helping with this whole daily rapid testing anyway. Some schools still have hurdles to clear from the State level though. If it was a SEC state, the state itself would say screw those hurdles and would drop it to allow them to play (it just means more). The NCAA CAN grant a waiver to the kids that declared and hired an agent, and they should. But we all know the NCAA is ran by a bunch of monkeys in cages throwing feces at one another and nothing they do makes sense.

In a way, I’m glad they came back to their senses. Everyone was going to put an asterisk beside this season (and they still might) if all the teams weren’t playing.

On the other hand, you’re starting your season almost a month after anyone else. You’re playing fewer games overall. 8 games in 8 weeks, then championship week will still see the rest of the B1G play in what will amount to consolation games.
If 5% of the team has Covid, there’s no practice or games for 7 days. So what if a team misses a week? What if OSU goes a week without playing thanks to COVID, and ends up playing 7 games (8 total with the championship). Does that matter to the CFP? Or the rankings? Do you fall in the rankings after what will amount to a “bye”?

How many conferences are now going to play? When it comes to the Nat. championship, put all the conference champs in a bracket, fill in with the remaining “best” teams, and play it out.

I see it is six now. 6 conference champs and 2 of the beat remaining teams. 8 team bracket for the championship.

Both jerseys are excellent, even as a gator fan to say that, but yeah they could do without the 1980 patch and dog collar.

I’m even ok with the patch. 40 years. Own it. Everyone is gonna let us know, anyway. But the “feels like 1980” caption made me puke a little. I made fun of UT when they started strong a few years ago and had the “feels like 98” slogan going on.

No chance they would’ve “surprised” people out of the tunnel its 2020 leaks happen, especially players on their social media. But kinda stupid to only wear them once

You’re a c hair away from getting punched in your c sucker. You wanna get punched?

up until the 70’s they would butcher and BBQ Bevo at the end of each season.

    Wow. That's a tidbit.

How long do they typically keep the same steer as Bevo? How many seasons?

Now they keep them until they die.
Fun fact: the current Bevo (XV) lives on a ranch just down the road from me.
