This. I won’t say I had zero buyers remorse on my Mountain Hatch but it has subsided with time. I didn’t realize there were other options. I do still prefer it to everything else if I ignore cost. Just feels a little elitist of me, I really like seeing all the DIY solutions and I feel a little guilty for taking the easy way out.

Cons: cost, weight (changes how the tailgate opens) shows wet okole / feet much more and can be quite slippery (wet + kids + concrete = vigilance).

Pros: way more comfortable to sit on, stuff slides in/out well, durable, color choices, spots for post workout beverages.

I’m now at the point where I’m pondering the tailgate reinforcement hardware kit from Mobtown. Which I definitely don’t need.

Got a new gravel bike a few weeks ago but with the Thru Axle fork I couldn't throw it on the 'ol Thule anymore... So I got the RockyMounts Switchhitter LS and it works perfectly. Best part is without a cumbersome adapter I can use the included skewer fork mount for my mountain bike and switch back and forth effortlessly! I'm happy with it!20200917_110405.jpg 20200917_110453.jpg 20200917_110433.jpg

Well got out of work early but then this happened on the way home... Anyone got any ideas if Toyota will cover this truck has 3k miles on it. Unfortunately I did not opt for the tire warranty at the time of purchase. Almost looks like the tire broke apart where it was molded at least maybe that can be passed to get it replaced. Anyone ran into similar issues?

There should be info on the manufacturer's warranty from goodyear in the library of manuals that came with the truck. I think they may offer a pro-rated price on a new tire.

I sprung for the TRD logo'd ones two years ago. I don't think that I've noticed them once other than the day I put them on. Forgot that I even had them until seeing your post. Now I'll have to go look just to see if they're still there! o_O

Edit: Still there. Thanks to you guys now I'll have to get the door hinge cover thingies or I'll notice them every time I get in my Tacoma!

Considering the low miles on the tire I would think that the dealer would just take care of it and replace.

I also had the metal TRD door striker cover, for 3 years now.

I liked them at first, but ended up being unsatisfied with them. It is a leave and forget item, but there are things I have noticed that have bothered me.

One, they do not sit flush. Two, since they are metal and somewhat sharped edged, they can scratch the paint. Specifically on the passenger door, since it is tighter when shut and presses on the cover, some paint has been scraped off.

I have switched over to these plastic door striker plate covers. They feel like something OEM would actually make. These clip in firm and tight, and looks OEM.

Also added the door limiter cover.
Came as a bundle with the door striker cover.

Amazing how adding cheap plastic makes the truck feel more premium. These are like the little things you find in a Lexus.

Everyone else seems to have bought theirs from 8X-Speed on Amazon.
But I bought mine from here:
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RKWWKFC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_btf_t1_zZ4yFbCBT150Y?vs=1
I found it cheaper, good quality, and both Striker Plate and Door Limiter Cover is on the same sales page.

Im going to say no normally, it does look like you ran over something. You can see the marks on the right side of the gash where something went in.

But, since you have so few miles, they might do something for you. But, your going to want to take it to the dealer you got it from, they will be more willing to help since you got 1 car from them, you might get another if they are nice to you.

Mama got new shoes. Took her in for her first oil change and the parts guy gave me a package deal I can live with.

You definitely need one of these then, perhaps in red!

    I'd take one in red

Edit, how you like it, any noticeable difference?

Looks great!! The BFG tire is the best looking white letter tire out there in my opinion.

I find acceleration has improved. If I really step on the pedal it does pull a bit harder. There is no noticeable air flow noise until you get above 3000rpm, then you can start to hear the engine come alive. Also, I discarded at least 4 Kg of plastic from the engine bay so it must go faster now.
