Rust.... enough said.... takes that much longer to do a quick repair...wonder what it’s like working on garaged kept cars ;-) or from non salt belt cars.... always pondered the thought of not having to grab a torch for every alignment being performed.....

yes replace, and there is a crush washer that goes in between the switch and housing.

They recalled almost all their jack stands , the only ones they got are the three ton aluminum ones

 

Tell me about it. I returned my stands once I finished passing inspection in August. Now I'm just waiting it out to hope that something else comes along from Harbor Freight because I otherwise have the money on a gift card for their store from the recall. Any favorite manufacturers out there? And don't say Snap-On, I have no access to that stuff and prices are likely too high anyway. (course you could argue your life or disability are worth far more than the savings on cheap HF stands that get recalled)

A M-D Kickstart was definitely not enough this morning, so I had to fire up the espresso maker and do a 3 shotter. Doubt that'll even work, more than likely make me have to pee too much and still be tired. Too early for this crap

 

Is it the same as the rear end crush washer? They are both 27mm nuts I believe. Heading to pick it up this morning. Thanks again for all the info and help.
