im running the JL 13TW5. kinda expensive tho. your gonna need to keep the mounting depth pretty shallow, id say at MOST 4"or 5"

your truck is a standard cab so that really limits your options because the space for your subs (behind the seat) is so small. you wont be able to fit a really hard hitting sub in there because there isnt enough room for the box. by hard hitting I mean jl w7, kicker solo-x, rockford t2, etc...

you need to find a sub that sounds good in "truck boxes" (fits behind the seat)
you might be able to fit a set of 10 inch kicker L5's or L7's but im not sure.
I suggest you go down to your preffered stereo shop (mine is carstereo express by pearlridge) and ask them what subs will fit. from that they will tell you what size amp you need. I recommend a name brand amp that wont break down or overheat. I like rockford, never gives me problems.

HIFI Sound connection has the best, deepest, cheapest, best built box for 95-04 standard cabs. Take it from me. I have 2 standard cab tacomas and both have 2 10's in them. 97 (my first system) hifi SC box, 2 lazar vector 10's 600w Crunch amp. Hit really good mids and highs, but couldnt hit lows to well. 1.) becuase they are 10's and 2.) because they are shallow mount subs. Not to bad on price think the hole setup cost like 300 bucks maybe.

Now on the 2004. I got the same box, but with a 3/4 spacer, which brings the mount depth to a WOPING 6". Which is ALOT for these regular cabs. I have 2 Eclipse 6010 10's really powerful btw. And a 2000w Mono crunch powerone amp. AMAZING AMP.

Wired to run 1 ohm. Thing pounds.
