In the past 15yrs, I've probably replaced 5 or 6 sets of headlight assemblies, in various vehicles. Never went OEM, always aftermarket. Several of those vehicles are still around, and the headlights still look good & function as designed, untouched, with no fog/condensation. Just my hands-on real world experience used as DDs.

Hmm.. ok. I found some aftermarket projector headlights on Amazon for $250. Should I be wary ? What brand s should I be looking for ?

You can go small nice things like pull everything out and lay down sound deadening mats. Replace stereo with something with apple/android car connection.

re: headlights... You may want to check ebay/craigslist/forum for used OEM units.

I recently picked up a set of very clean take-offs for just over $100/shipped for my 06. For that price there will usually be a broken tab or two - but nothing some plastic weld and rivets can't address.

on ebay I have good success with ronslights2015.. We emailed back and forth a few times to see what he had in stock, and he was excellent about responding quickly, and worked with me to find a good matched set. Now I just have to mount them up, once I'm done with other build projects :D

DEPO brand seems popular. Usually anything CAPA approved will get you decent quality. Though I've used some that weren't with no issues.

I'm considering LED or projections headlights.

    none yet
There are a couple of long threads on OEM vs LED vs Projector, one in 2nd Gen and one in 3rd Gen. Take a look at those when you can.
