sealed or not?

I want to install a tail gate seal but first want to get the advise of those who have already done so. Ok if you have a tail gate seal, what brand and are you satisfied with its ability to do it's intended job?

That would last a few hours the way I use my truck.

 

No, a bakflip f1. Just looking to close up the vertical gaps along the tail gate edges

 

Thats actually the one I have. Fit perfectly and I would say its a nice buy.

 

Do you live in your truck? Why is so important to be sealed.
Ask for some assistance if it is the case.

I have a topper and got tired of cleaning out dust from the dirt roads around here. What I ended up doing is useing some weather stripping to close the gap...works great.

 

Ya as a matter of fact I do, I lost my job, the wife left me and the kids, the dog ran away and now my truck battery is getting low so I'll have to disconnect the computer and plug in the heater, it's suppose to be cold tonight and the truck bed isn't insulated. Out !

 

If you want to seal out all of the dust, remember that dust will find its way under the plastic bed rail covers, in through the plastic bins on the sides that serve no purpose. There are also holes at the front bottom end of the bed. If you truly want to seal the bed, there is more to it than the tailgate.

 

What do you mean? those are my nightstands when I sleep in mine. They work great.
