Took the PSA/BCA 7.62x39 to the range today. Had 2 failures out of 50 rounds. One round had a LPS, which was somewhat expected and will be met with an enhanced firing pin. The other was attributed to a mag spring issue which was corrected by flipping the spring over and didn't cause any further issues.
Got the scope zeroed in at 50 (too many people on the 100 range) using Tula 122gr as that will be the primary ammo my father will have for it.

How are the wildfires in your AO?

They stopped about a mile and a half from nephew's house near Glide.

Just smoke in MC, we have had a couple small fires out North Myrtle that got hit before they could spread. Aunt and uncle lost their place down in Talent, and I know one family that lost their home in Glide.

That sucks for anyone affected by this.

Good to hear on smoke in MC. My sister is in Tenmile and they haven't had many issues.

Should be getting some rain moving in tonight and tomorrow, hopefully it will be enough to knock fires down. Smoke has been getting thinner, Ive been hearing helicopters (ranger just flew over, heard the Huey a couple times yesterday).

What’s everyone’s thoughts on 13.7 vs 14.5. Both will be pin and welded to 16.1 ish. I have a 14.5 and love the way it shoots but have been told a 13.7 is even better.

I'm running a KX5 Flaming Pig and it's heavy (along with my 13.7" stainless...)

New plan is colt upper reciever. Either a rosco or ballistic advantage or solgw barrel with a warcomp and some sort of mlock rail. Would like to run a magnifier so probably go to a holosun with a aimpoint magnifier since the comp m4 is so long

Have a 12.5 with a stamp and two 14.5. Don’t want to do a stamp for my work rifle though so that’s why I was thinking a 13.7
