Trick or Treat Meet......Halloween shouldn't be canceled

Hi everyone.....
My family and I have an idea and we'll see how receptive you all are to it.
Halloween has pretty much been canceled on a major scale. One more thing the kids have to suffer through. For those of us that have kids, this has been a rough year for sure.

Thinking of trying to set up a trick or treat meet for kids to be able to feel happy, even for 5 minutes.
Costumes can be worn and rigs decorated.
Just need to find a location/parking lot.
Details can be worked out so everyone is comfortable.

I would think ome could trick or treat kids wear face masks, amd I seen pretty cool inventions online of homeowners creating candy delivery tune for social distancing.....

But yeah id be down

Im around the La verne, glendora area I didnt know trick a treating was illegal....Thats like saying i cant walk at night on Halloween

 

Many Churches do this and call it "Trunk or Treat" to provide a safe location and environment for families to gather. Could start there and see if any churches are doing it this year and coordinate with their activities.

 

Was trunk or treat a thing pre covid? Never heard of it, granted ive never been to church

 

I understand, the mall's use to do it also.... we can have one of our own too. No harm in trying.

 

Yes they were, because people believe strangers are bad people and you should never go to their homes.

 

You HEATHEN!! J/K I was raised christian but no longer follow any religion.
At least a decade or so where I grew up, my nephew is almost 14 and I remember going with him when he was 5 ish.

 

Which state/county/city you are in will dictate if you could just organize and meet without any repercussions, like the police showing up and dispersing the event if on public property.

Know anyone with a large plot of privately owned property?
