    I'm not trying to be too critical.... But it looks like you need longer bolts, it appears there isn't any thread engagement in the nylon of the nylon locking nuts.

    Either way, I am interested in the resluts!

    Thanks. I cranked them down after this pic they are about flush with the end of the nylock.

    Yes, but that can basically be said about everyone that re-engineers anything factory. I myself would like to have dual system...clutch mechanical and electric...
    Another cooling option is another type of coolant

    have spoken with daryll from the auto cool guy about their PWM controllers.

    he recommends the HF-125 to be used with this fan. PWM controller needs to be rated at least 7khz

    Hey guys. Got the kit finally installed. Working nice. Got to do some testing and further vetting of the Setup but things look good so far. I will say as of today in my daily driving I average 12.7 mpg. We will see how that changes going forward from here. Also our kit will come terminated and have set instructions specifically for installing into the tacoma so you don't have to deal with the controller instructions

    Interesting you spliced in a new ECT sensor. I was going to do a Bosch/AEM type. But then I dug a little deeper and the factory Toyota coolant temp sensor is VERY close to the Type 4 as far as resistance VS temp. I purchased the factory connectors(male +female). Going to just make a T harness and use the stock one so I don't have to cut a radiator hose. Any particular reason why you did a stand alone sensor?

    Closed loop system. Completely independent of the factory setup and only monitors the required fields.

    I see. Wouldn't using the stock sensor essentially be the same thing?(almost closed loop I guess). I don't think the ECU has any output to the temp sensor. It's just a big variable resistor??
