I think you’ll be happier with a looser setting. Time off can be difficult in certain seasons, but the flexibility is unparalleled. I’m happy for you, I hope that job tastes like dick

Ok cool I’ll look into that, I honestly don’t know what kind of response range I want. I’ve never had quality speakers other than factory really in my cars

600 on speakers and amp, unless you think that’s enough to cover everything. Not on a super tight budget but don’t really want to go much over that. I already have the HU and sub.

That should be okay for a fair upgrade, just gotta pick out your amp and speakers, grab an amp wiring kit.

I’ve been looking on crutchfield so far, what brands would you suggest on speakers? I’ve read good things about Focal. A five channel amp would be what I need to run the speakers and sub right?

focal is solid, alpine, pioneer, anything really Id just stick to top tier. Two-ways are fine, id opt for components in the front but it may complicate wiring depending on where the tweeters are located.

i had a pioneer 5 channel in the taco for budget and sinplicity, you can run a 4 channel plus a separate mono block for the amp but thats more wires, probably overkill for an 8 inch sub too

    Nice man!
Might have to try this sometime.
Looks like a great trip! I am in need of a good trip and NM has been on the list. Just need time...

I cant like this in anyway.
Its not really different than basically all the mods not having Tacomas. Seen more activity in here since the leadership change than we've had in a while.
I've thought about doing a stereo upgrade for a while. Every time I try and piece together a moderate system it turns into way more than I need or want to spend. Now I'm not even sure what I would do for the sub since I dont have a back seat, need to keep it protected from the dogs and dont want to lose to much space.

Thats likely the way I would need to go. I was kinda set on a nice 10" but I dont really need much. I just want better overall sound. Who knows if I'll ever do stereo. Theres so much I want/need to do that ends up taking priority like fixing some of the damage I've done.
