Which one was that? I'm on a lake in Hopkinton, but my place definitely isn't $1 mil +.

same lake, 63 Oakhurst nextdoor to my wife’s uncle and 3 houses up from my mother in law. Alan Connell formerly of Downey listed it. They’re on Whitehall now.

Also, that eagle doesn't nest on the lake anymore #fakenews. I haven't seen the eagles in 2-3 years. So there's $500k off the top right there.

we certainly saw an eagle and an osprey a couple weeks ago. Brother in law was lookin at boats and wanted me to go in with him on a Boston whaler but I’m good with replacing 2-3 props a year... if anything I’ll get a ~$1500 small flat bottom jon boat to take the kids fishing in and putt around. We catch enough off the dock using bits of slim Jim for bait.

2-3 props a year? Sounds like a good candidate for a kayak.

Lotta rocks! I’ve driven an 18’ Glaston bow rider a hand full of times on that lake and never hit a rock. As a passenger I can’t say the same.

Reminds me of my old Ebay bidding policy of ending my bids in $0.37.

The market has been heating up for awhile. When I bought in 2013 there was already some homes getting overbids on them. I went in at asking on mine, which would have been unheard of in the 1990s. When I refinanced earlier this year my appraisal came back 33% higher than what I paid in 2013 which seems absolutely nutty to me. My end game is to move somewhere else as the little things about my house are starting to get to me, but I need to wait until the kids are a bit older and the cost of child care goes away.

I'm just working on removing the debt I can while still trying to live a little.

I could have a MkIV Supra TT, or a Motorex R34 most likely if I didn't have children. But they're the light of our lives, or something like that, right? I love my kids to death and would move heaven and earth for them, but I am still like the worst "kid person" ever. I've realized I'm never going to be that cool parent all the other kids like.

Hmm, maybe they moved to the other end of the lake. They used to hunt all the little muskrats, mice, and small fish on the shallow cove right behind our house. I haven't seen them in a few years.

    Definatly some Ospreys. Swans too.

Why would you have to replace 2-3 props a year? You just smashing the thing into rocks? I've not replaced mine once on my 83' Johnson 15hp outboard. The only thing that constantly needs replacing at the beginning of every season is the impeller due to sucking in weeds and such.

Mortgages aren't being handed out like they were 15 years ago. Much as I loathe the banks, they did somewhat learn from that.

You mean come choke you out right..haha..didn't go to NH this summer like usual. Ideally, never again

Nah you'll be taking them all to Blink 182 before you know it. I could see myself totally being the cool parent, but I'd be the dead parent. I'm old fashioned in my ways of thinking and I'd be killed in my sleep or poisoned by my offspring

Homemade sourdough cinnamon raisin bread. Since the 'rona I've basically become a professional baker with my sourdough starter.
