Yep, those shrooms grow out of those white balls which is why I dug as many out as I could

I'm working on picking the remainder of my tomatoes this weekend. Hot today, one of my thermometers says 102 and the other 104. Crazy thing is the reason I need to get them all picked is they are calling for snow Tuesday! Such is the life of gardening in Wyoming.

Got all the ripe ones juiced. Made 2 1/2 gallons of juice that will get its turn in the crockpot to cook down into sauce.

The rest will get juiced over the next few days as they ripen up.

Trying something new this year because we have an overabundance of hot peppers. Initially was hoping to can salsa this year, but over a month without a single drop of rain followed by two weeks of straight rain made all the tomatoes split open while they were still green.

Anyway, trying to make homemade hot sauce. Right now I am doing a test batch by fermenting the fruit for two weeks, then putting in a blender with vinegar, salt, and garlic, then straining the solids out. Do you guys/gals have any experience with making hot sauce, and if so, any advice?

This is 5 days into fermentation in my canning room and they're bubbling pretty good:

I expect my pepper plants to produce until the first frost.

Mine typically do. I can usually coax them into the end of October by covering them up at night.

I expect mine to keep producing at least a month after the first frost. No I don’t have some special supper peppers, I have a greenhouse. :D
We had 22F last Tuesday, so if mine had been outside they would already be toast.

I have a little 3'x6' raised box garden, and would absolutely love to find a greenhouse I could install over it. I've looked, but haven't found what I'm looking for...

Got a little bit of fall/winter crop started the other day. Kale, spinach, mustard, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, and radishes. Not sure how it’s gonna do, my weather has been crazy from dry and super hot to wet and hot and now cooling down and dry as a bone but supposed to warm back up in the 80s next week.

Overall I’ve been pretty well pleased with my first full attempt at the garden this year. Had been years since I’d had one and never at this property. Watermelons are the only thing that didn’t do well at all for me this year.

Already planning next years garden and hoping to expand it

My cantaloupes did that had an amazing taste tho. The watermelons had absolutely no taste. Had 2 varieties one only had 1 melon and the other had 8-10 and none of them were edible
