WPC is about back where I bought it at, and they ticked up the dividend technically, so I feel good about holding them in my portfolio for the foreseeable future.

It’s going to be tough with elections coming up. I may want to just do a self-imposed ban to save the mods some time

Unless I missed it, see referenced post in @Boyk1182 's post. Unless there was more posted that I missed.

I don’t know, I figured there was something after I logged off that I missed. Out of curiosity, are these things reported or mods just stumble across them?

Yea, me either. Maybe we got ourselves on a short leash. It is tough, these things are so intertwined

I've read this thread gets some more views than others but things have been reported mostly. I have had a post removed here.

    :spy::sorry:

    Don't see it here though:

CDC Numbers not mine. I know this doesn't tell the whole truth. But...

Those must be who died "with" COVID. The number, according to CDC, of who died "from" COVID is around 10k.

Those are CDC numbers of TOTAL US Deaths/Weekly. From ALL causes.
The Yellow range on the left chart is February-March 2020 weekly average.
The Yellow range on the right chart is June-July 2020 weekly average.
August numbers were incomplete at the time but showed the same trend as June-July 2020.

And you are correct, around 6% as the only cause noted.

Ok gotcha, just glanced and saw high amounts. I know Sweden is averaging about a normal "total" death count this year, and didn't destroy their own country to achieve that.

We aren’t destroyed yet. XOM still has a dividend, MO even increased theirs (waiting on that payment to come in) so I can buy more stocks on sale!

And when everything else comes back up, tech can go down so I can add to my aapl basket.

I bought some AAPL today, to keep with my strategy, but really don't think that was a good buy.

They closed schools and closed down a bunch of stuff. They just left restaurants open and didn't close dog parks, that's pretty much it. So the high risk stuff anyway (schools) were still closed. And a lot of people transferred to WFH too. So realistically they proved that closing the dog parks, walking trails, etc. was ineffective to further curtail the effects, but schools/etc were an important step.

o_O interesting. Might wait for that to dip, or just drop it in SPHD or DIV and not worry.

That’s funny, I was strongly considering doing that as I feel like I betrayed myself by thinking it was to expensive at 350-400 pre split. Always keep adding! But I couldn’t. Still not accustomed to the post split share count and price. Looks funny

I think dog parks are the most dangerous COVID hot spots. It should be obvious. Can't believe they'd leave them open.

    Agree.

As I said these are CDC numbers. Link below. And I know they don't tell the whole story.
But based on them they're are 403 less people per week dying now in the US than there was in February-March 2020.
