Not trying to poke the bear here, but curious if there is an update on timing of release of the .vft versions of the performance 2.0 tunes, in my case for 04B04. I love seeing folks making all these changes and have tried a few of them myself in vF on the current 2.0 tunes. However, I’d really like to be starting with your 2.0 performance tune and tweaking from there.

I could be wrong about this, but I remember it being said somewhere that a throttle plate at 90deg flows less air than at a slightly lower value?

This could make sense with flow problems around the plate edges and round axle, where an angled plate causes some velocity benefit?

Actually, modifying the stock file would be an excellent way to see what your/our own tweaks and changes do, without any outside influence from Mat's 2.0 tunes

This is true and I actually contemplated doing it on 04B41 stock file. Can't bring myself to go near that file though lol.

There is an internal spring the motor works against, and if my memory serves right, which it usually doesn't...lol, there is a very small chance that spring could bind when the throttle is perfectly 180* and then it wouldn't automatically close when the motors duty lowers.

    No! Just no.

Not without a dyno and some F&F tweakers standing around to make judgements.

So another thing I've been looking at..
Throttle is snappy when stopped, clutch in.
As soon as let out the clutch in neutral, the snap gets muted.
Also, if you allow the truck to roll with clutch in, when you hit about 1km/hr the snap once again gets muted.
It seems there are at least two triggers that put the wet blanket on the party, the top clutch switch and veh speed over 1kmh.
I'd like to root that out too if possible.

The B14 files I tested for @OVTune on 02 July, I actually thought it was valuable that he'd sent me a stock map with just the changes that he was interested in testing. And it made sense to me, since we were then only observing what specifically those changes did. No influence from the rest of the tune. And they were solid. Great response on downshifting.

Yep. It shocked the hell out me that the Single Torque Map test tune was Stock with just that change. It felt like there was more of 2.0 Beta in there.

I was thankful the DFCO test tune changes stuck while 2.0 Final was getting wrapped up.

Still, not thanks for Stock. Even 04B14 was blah! in the bottom end.
