Trying to install my Sonora bushings in my extra set of control arms....
    20200918_103327.jpg

I'm fairly certain I bent the arm :( tried pushing on the outer bushing sleeve and the whole arm started spreading.. applied heat and it still wouldn't budge.

Now I'm burning out the rubber so I can cut the sleeve out from the inside.

Oh and I broke the inner nut for the bumpstop as well.20200918_090108.jpg

I broke the inner nut for the bump stop too a long time ago, I just JB welded the new bump stop on lol. It's held up for years and a lot of wheeling.

If you bent the arm though I would get another. If you install a bent arm you'll never get it aligned properly

I was hoping maybe I could get a mondo ratchet strap and bend it back?

I used the other arm I haven't touch yet as a gauge and the current arm is splayed out less than 1/16 of an inch.. is there absolutely nothing I can do?

Just left work to go home for samsung's delivery service to install our microwave for the third time. (first time the door was damaged, now this time they dented the microwave installing)

We told them to wait ten min for me to get there from work. Im pulling up in the condo at the 13 min mark and they decide to leave. I start hauling ass to catch them and then see them pulling away so I start honking and waving my hands. They left my ass said theyd be back in 30, sat home for an hour then called the guy and said come back later.

Told the guy like bruh i work in a doctors office, were short staffed, and u left me waiting for an hour. The. Third. Delivery.

I dunno to be honest, never been in that position...but the shop I've been dealing with over my alignment fiasco told me that a bent LCA could be the issue too. I just figure a spindle is the more likely culprit in my case.

    Alright

I've had those LCAs that came off my truck for awhile now.

If you don't want them, maybe @Abeyancer can make use of them if he really bent his..or if yours are bent. Either way, they're yours or his.

@Abeyancer I'm no engineer but once metal bends and you bend it 'back', it's more likely to bend again...at least I would think so. TBH I would just pick up another LCA to avoid the risk of putting it all back together only to find out it won't track straight now or it gets bent again

If he wants them he can take 'em, thanks though. I have an even harder time believing I could have bent a lower control arm over a spindle lol. I'm going to start with the spindles and go from there.

One of these days soon I'll get under it and see if I can determine it for good by doing some measurements
