    I have a '95 with 3.4.
It came with an gawdawful aftermarket hot air intake courtesy of the PO. Nothing but problems with it, and I cannot diagnose some of my other issues unless/until I get this damn thing back to stock.

I've been searching for months for an OEM setup. Without much luck.

Which years can I safely pull from in order to get a 100% compatible setup?

I need the Box, tube, resonator, clamps and mounting hardware.. desperately trying to avoid bastardizing the wrong pieces together.

    Halp.

    I have mods
Pretty sure they all used the same airbox and tube. I got my replacement airbox from O'Reilly's autoparts for my '99 when I had it. I used an Airaid tube since the resonators and stuff just get in the way. The Airaid tube is much cleaner and still used the stock airbox so filter choices are great.

I’d look for 97 and older - for sure 01+ had a different MAF and tube diameter.

Are you telling me to search ebay, or was that supposed to be a link to a specific listing?

Has anyone in the history of that site ever gotten a response to an inquiry?

    I know I haven't...

Just call the salvage yard and ask them directly. I had a guy stop by and deliver my last request when he was delivering another customer's parts. Each yard has different service levels.

    Honestly, I've tried that.
The only place I actually got anywhere with was one out in CA. And the one they had was late 90s maybe 99 and the price was waaaay more than I was willing to pay. Something like $250 and I didn't even bother to ask about shipping.

There aren't a lot of breaker yards in the DC area. Unless the price is right for a local pickup, I'm going to need shipping. Which is yet a whole nother problem. And really, anything from this area is likely going to need refurbishment due to rusty hardware.

If I know that I'm safe looking at 95, 96, 97 and maybe 98 then I can expand my search.

Keep your eyes peeled in the first gen buy sell trade forum - you might get lucky. You can get regular hardware - I believe they're M8 with a big spacer that doesn't necessarily need to be there.

You can always change to the newer style 99 + only one or two wires to move for the different MAF sensor

Don`t rule out 4Runners of the same years with the 3.4 .

Also PVC pipe and Fernco couplers work if you get real really stuck
