On one of the Air Load maps, I highlighted the whole thing and hit CTRL + I. It was this beautifully flat plane. It took me more than a moment to not save that and flash up.

I wonder how many of the changes that you brave folks are doing will end up in Mats performance file? I was going to give @Mooseditty17 ’s files a run, but now there’s even more opportunity for improvement. I’d rather not load new file after new file

Do your signature files include the alternator tweak? I am just now finally getting my VF set up and know nothing about using it. Huge learning curve. I dont really want to give up my GL in the stumble start tune but Id be tempted if it meant I could keep my batteries happy?

I just match them to the accelerator angle values and went for a spin. It accelerates in 6th now

I might have to listen to @MOC221_ and try the edits individually (science is not dead!). Both of my edits, trying to keep low throttle stuff happy, seems to have angered the low torque end and CC a bit. My suspicion is the Linear Throttle edit? Linear my have to start a little lower.

It sucks because the tune feels awesome anywhere but there.

Just some wavy throttle response and the CC is bucking going downhill like it did Stock, but more pronounced. It is certainly not excessive, just could be better.

Comparing the Air Control maps, idle and low torque was not messed as much as the Throttle map. The values changes aren't huge, but it might be a 5% problem?

What I am noticing is right around 2k in any gear and super light throttle. The big question is what is the throttle % at and is it a direct correlation with the % in the map? If so, I know the throttle runs at about 17% stock.

These are both on what should be 1.05 FOB, maybe Base?, when coasting:

I don't have enough km on my latest file to say with 100% certainty that I'm not experiencing the same thing. I have some driving to do tonight and over the weekend and will pay attention to the scenario you describe.
I will say that even with straight up 04B41 SFOB Premium, there is a point when coasting that the engine is a bit twitchy, like it doesn't know whether you're at full lift or a tiny bit of throttle. It's not huge, but it's there.
What you're describing sounds like more than that though.

My intention with the Linear Throttle Mod is to decide where on the map that increasing the values will have the most impact on throttle blipping, while not adversely affecting anything else with respect to driveability.
I might have to log some driving with focus on downshifts to have a closer look at what rpm/torque/load values pop out when I'm blipping. I'm thinking that it'll be in the 1000-2500 range (if you consider how much the rpm falls after you lift to make the gear change. This of course excludes more "spirited" driving, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I'm going to leave a lot of that map alone to begin with, and look at changing a relatively small number of cells at a time. I may not do the LV reset during this process, as I see a number of flashes occurring to dial it in.

That sounds like it. Basically, driving on level ground in 1st and try to hold a steady speed at about 2k. Most pronounced there.

That is the wild thing. The Taco drives so nice above the light throttle. Shifts are buttery, up and down, and the throttle is all smiles.

I haven't tried it, but it feels like it could roll nicely from a stop without touching the throttle.

That could be a good plan?

This is on my 1.2.1.1 file. Gave her the beans passing a car. Doesn't do this in 1st, but did in second

My truck has never surpassed Red line nor do I know how I managed to do it? The only thing I've done recently is mess with shift points...

I should do a 2nd gear to 70 on ramp pull and record it.

    Nah.

2.0 has a 7,250rpm limiter. At least, the MTs do.

Oh my. You did, and I would agree. LoL!
