Just buttoning up some odds and ends. The typical stuff that you do after you buy a used vehicle. I've been waiting for all the problems to bubble up and make me a list of the stuff I need to do to get the truck solid. Next week Ill be getting the rear speed sensor harness because mine was ripped off and repaired with correrpins, I gotta figure out what to do with my Y pipe. I've got some annoying leaks that I feel might be the source of my CEL for that. I just had the rear diff serviced and oil change. Basic stuff. Have been noticing a weird vibration in the rear end when taking off from a stop so I was hoping the rear diff service would help. It's better but not totally gone. I've been told it could be tires too. I'm on 35" BFG K02s. They are getting a bit old, 2016 date of manufacture.

Just tint matched the front windows and I got some cheapo Amazon LED upgrades. I do want to get some bigger lights for my nerf bar at some point but it's hard to make a decision.

Budget is tight with COVID these days, but my main money pit is the civic. It's a 1991 Hatchback. Ended up having to do a shell swap this year because my last shell was mint except for the rear subframe. It was up repairable so it had to go. It had/has a JDM B18cR. When it was tuned it made 190whp but that was with some weirdo compression that once rebuilt next year I expect to make over 200.

What do you ride? Never been to VMUTS, but I assume it’s pretty gnarly.
Just bought myself an 80s Dakar bike about a month ago, but it’s in way more pieces now than when I got it. Should be ready for springtime.

600 is just a little big for all the fun, smaller is better

These XT350's are what got me into off roading, met my wife and she wanted to come along so I sold the off road bikes and got the truck.

Miss those bikes big time, but I was a bit overboard. I had 2 full runners(92 and 86) and a parts rig(2002). They never changed the bike for its entire life, all parts from all years fit all bikes.

Those are great bikes! I had a 91 DR650 which looked identical. I did a 38000km trip on that bike. I have 2 Honda XR650R's now.

You guys are awesome, i do ride but not offload. I've been wanting to learn but every year there is something else that comes up. Now I'm thinking i'm too old to learn to ride offroad... Nice bikes!!

Never to old to learn, just have to adapt your bike to your needs more as you get older.

My bud is quite a bit older than me, he had a windshield on his bike for the highway. He has neck and shoulder issues that with a windshield it was not as big a deal for him. He got one that was simple to remove, so as soon as we hit the trails off the highway, he took it off.

450cc bike is a perfect trail rig, can do highway (120km/h) for hours with no issues. Small enough to still be fun on the trails. But I love smaller bikes, dunno why.

If you can ride on the street learning to ride off-road wouldn't be that difficult. Find yourself a small dual sport bike and start by riding gravel roads and easy trails until you get comfortable. Never too old lol!

Woah. Can’t comprehend a 38,000km loop. Did you ride a lap around the perimeter of our continent?

Would love to get a DRZ400 but $5k is too much for a first (blue plate) bike. Aiming to be under $2k by the time this DR600 is road legal.
