Nice! Man that PA is a big boat though.

I'll budget for the H Crate then.

What is a reasonable distance to expect to cover comfortably on my kayak to get to a fishing spot? Like could I hit a spot 5 miles from my dock? Or maybe what is the expected cruising speed of a Hobie Outback?

5 miles easily you really can glide a lot even paddling you'd be surprised how much you can cover.

Ok cool. This is a boat substitute, mostly plan to fish alone and I'd rather not buy/pay for a fishing boat anyway. Sounds like I'll be able to get to most of Lake Wylie then since I'll be kind of starting in the middle-ish.

Luckily there was tar paper above the subfloor so that’s still good.

That's why I'm scared to renovate one of our bathrooms myself. I feel like I would find a lot more shit wrong than I am capable of fixing and it would end up costing 3x more than I budgeted for.

I could usually cover between 5-10 miles in my PA in a day. That boat is heavier and wider than your outback and i was 300lbs at the time. You should be GTG

That’s when a lot of people slap lipstick on it and call it a day. I have too high of standards to do that though. Main reason why I didn’t want to buy somebody else’s renovation.

Must be the day for it. Floor guys are laying the new floor in the master bathroom. Toilet flange is broken. Down to one toilet.

Call plumber, will be here Monday. The floor guys get to the second bathroom, remove toilet. That flange is broken. Zero toilets. Call plumber, adjusts schedule to get here today thank goodness.

....oh, and the linoleum from the factory is stained so they have to reorder so they can’t finish and my kitchen floor is just bare skim coat for the next 10-14 days.

    I may get hammered tonight.

Good call on the hammer. At least you won’t care for a while.
